Picture fuzzy WASPAS method for selecting last-mile delivery mode: a case study of Belgrade

Abstract Background Last-mile delivery (LMD) is becoming more and demanding due to an increasing number of users traffic problems in cities. Besides, medical crises (like the COVID-19 outbreak) air pollution represent additional motives for transition from traditional socially environmentally sustainable LMD mode. An emerging problem companies postal logistics industry how determine best mode a multi-criteria setting under uncertainty. Method For first time, extension Weighted Aggregated Sum Product ASsessment (WASPAS) method picture fuzzy environment presented solve selection problem. The introduced set (PFS) based decision-making (MCDM) can be highly beneficial managers who are charge since it take into account neutral/refusal information efficiently deal with high levels imprecise, vague, uncertain information. comparative analysis existing state-of-the-art PFS-based MCDM methods approved reliability proposed WASPAS method. Its robustness consistency also confirmed. used improve urban areas worldwide. applied other environment. Findings A real-life case study Belgrade fully illustrate potentials applicability results show that postomates Belgrade, followed by cargo bicycles, drones, delivery, autonomous vehicles, tube transport.
